The Mahua tree (Madhuca longifolia) is one of India's most sacred tribal trees. For thousands of years, its fragrant flowers have been a cornerstone of tribal life in Odisha, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh — eaten as a natural sweetener, brewed into traditional drinks, and used in ritual and ceremony.
Each season, tribal women collect Mahua flowers by hand from the forest floor as they naturally fall. UTKARA sources directly from these families, sun-dries the flowers traditionally, and gently roasts them in small batches to unlock their deep, honey-like sweetness. No sugar added. No preservatives. Just the forest, as it was meant to be tasted.

Simmer 4–5 flowers in 200ml water for 10 minutes with a piece of ginger. Strain and drink warm. A traditional tribal remedy passed down for generations.
Add 2–3 flowers to porridge, oats, or warm milk instead of sugar. Their natural honey-like sweetness dissolves beautifully into warm liquids.
Eat 3–5 roasted flowers directly as a quick energy snack — the way tribal farmers have consumed Mahua during long harvesting days for centuries.
Grind into powder and use as a natural sweetener in ladoos, barfi, kheer, or halwa. The roasted flavour adds a unique smoky-sweet depth to sweets.
